SABBEY INTERNATIONAL are led by master percussionists, multi-instrumentalists and singers Afla Sackey and Yaw Asumadu. They mix traditional dance drumming and intensely intricate polyrhythms with beautifully harmonised chants from the lengths and breadth of their native country, Ghana. One of the most uplifting and technically brilliant music collectives you’ll find this side of West Africa.
